My client, a leading publically traded healthcare services organization is seeking to hire a Shared Services Center Vice President due to booming growth. This is a great opportunity for the right individual to build and grow a shared service center and to lead and develop their own team. This position is in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Relocation assistance is provided.
The SSC Vice President plans, implements and directs the Revenue Cycle functions of the Shared Services Center, as determined by the corporate Revenue Cycle leadership. This involves developing and implementing specific operational and financial plans and budgets to achieve the primary objective of the centralized business office; organizing the necessary human and physical resources required to accomplish the plan; and, monitoring, developing, and improving overall performance to achieve stated goals for revenue cycle management.
Responsibilities for the Shared Services Vice President::
The position is responsible and accountable for the complete and timely billing and collections of all payments for all services rendered by the SSC Hospitals.
Partner with the Hospital Chief Financial Officers and other corporate strategic leaders to build a vision and strategies that assure world class quality integrated services that meet or exceed organizational needs. Clearly communicate the business model and tactics to stakeholders.
Oversee the development of a scalable insurance billing and collections process to support growth and ensure appropriate staffing for the SSC. Assess efficiency of billing and collections practices to identify and implement process improvements to increase dollars collected per man-hour while reducing the company's exposure to additional bad debt reserves.
Provide strategic and tactical initiatives to support revenue growth and increased collections.
Improve operational processes related to Scheduling, Insurance Verification, Revenue Capture, Billing, Collections, Denial Management, Cash Posting, Credit Balances,
Develop and interpret policies and procedures, recommend changes as appropriate, and provide relevant feedback to the senior management team in order to meet department and organizational goals with respect to revenue recognition and collections.
Ensure an adequate balance between the legal and financial responsibility to ensure compliance with external laws and regulations.
Act as a partner in the overall management of the office and participate actively in decision-making and strategy for the entire department, with a team orientated approach.
Oversee management of SSC personnel, providing recommendations for hiring, promotion, salary adjustment and personnel action where appropriate.
Assesses and responds to current and future internal and external healthcare trends in order to establish and ensure the necessary direction for revenue cycle activities. Continually seeks ways and means for improving the delivery and support of revenue cycle activities and programs.
Evaluates and directs efforts of Consultants and Analyst to improve revenue cycle initiatives.
Qualifications for the Shared Services Vice President:
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited academic institution and/or minimum 10 plus years of professional experience in related fields. Master's degree in business or finance is preferred.
Seven plus years' experience managing Revenue Cycle Management and/or Collections in a large healthcare provider setting or a consumer lending organization, with deep experience in cost management, revenue cycle processes and loan cost optimization strategies.
Experience managing a Revenue Cycle and/or Collections Organization consisting of at least 250 employees.
Experience using and training team members on a multitude of payment strategies, extensions and loss mitigation.
Five plus years in a leadership role in a matrix environment; with the proven ability to influence both direct and indirect constituents.
Experience with consumer finance in highly regulated industries with a deep understanding of all associated regulatory requirements (e.g., FDCPA, TCPA, PCI, HIPAA, etc. .
Proven ability to stay current on all legislation and regulations affecting collections compliance through continuing education and performance measures.
Strong presentation preparation/delivery skills.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
