As Parks and Recreation Director, you will play a key role in shaping the recreational landscape of our community.
Your leadership will contribute to the overall well-being of residents by providing engaging and diverse recreational programs and maintaining well designed parks and recreation.
Responsibilities:
Develop, plan, and implement a comprehensive range of recreational programs for all age groups.
Oversee the management and maintenance of parks, sports fields, and recreational facilities.
Collaborate with community organizations, schools, and local businesses to enhance program offerings.
Manage budgetary responsibilities, ensuring efficient allocation of resource for optimal program delivery.
Recruit, train, and lead a dedicated team of professionals committed to delivering high quality recreational services.
Be proficient in grant writing and in seeking government and private grants to support recreation programs.
Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continually enhance program offerings.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Parks and Recreation, Park Management, or related field with a minimum of two years progressive experience in the successful administration of public parks and recreation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Passion for community engagements and the promotion of a healthy active lifestyle.
